Applied Community and Economic Development (ACED) Fellows Program at Illinois State University
Program Description
The Applied Community and Economic Development (ACED) Fellows Program at Illinois State University (ISU) helps rural and urban communities across the United States with their vital community and economic development needs. It also enhances the skills of students who hope to be part of a new generation of development specialists.
ACED Fellows must have at least one year of full-time experience in community development of social services or the equivalent (1,700 hours)—as either a paid professional or a volunteer—prior to starting classes. ACED Fellows at ISU may pursue the following master’s degrees:

To graduate, Fellows must complete one year of full-time coursework and a second year of full-time, hands-on professional practice with communities or organizations needing their skills.
